Welcome to the latest newsletter. Lots of fusion this week! We've got another event lined up, this time with our CEO, Professor Tim Dodwell, in addition to Cyd's upcoming webinar series; and we've recapped our workshop with the Plasma Science and Fusion Center at MIT. We've also created a new home for twinLab tutorials, demonstrating a range of its powerful but easy-to-use capabilities.

Enhancing the Nuclear Economy - Featured Speaker

Our CEO Professor Tim Dodwell will be speaking at the Enhancing the Nuclear Economy event on the 8th May. Machine learning and uncertainty quantification methods have a key role to play in the nuclear industry, from fundamental science to grid deployment. Our Probabilistic ML tool, twinLab, is already solving challenges in these areas.

ML for Fusion Energy Workshop with the PSFC

Earlier in March, digiLab held a joint workshop at the Plasma Science and Fusion Center at MIT (PSFC), exploring applications of Probabilistic ML to the Fusion industry. PSFC are at the cutting edge of many areas of fusion research, from plasma simulation and control to tritium modelling.

Together with workshop organiser, Rémi Delaporte-Mathurin at the PSFC, our fusion team (Professor Tim Dodwell, Amanda Niedfeldt, Ross Allen and Cyd Cowley) have taken the time to summarise and evaluate some of the topics of dicussion.
